The River Ridge Learning Center Inc. a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization began as an idea between the CEO of America Place, Jim Karp, and the River Ridge Development Authority. Karp's vision was to create a high quality childcare center, run by educated and experienced staff to benefit the businesses and employees at River Ridge, and its surrounding community.
In October 2021 this vision became a reality when the doors to The Academy at River Ridge were open for children.
Currently we are licensed to serve 60 toddlers and preschoolers, but our goal is to grow to serving 400 children birth to five years old.

Mr. Karp's second vision is to offer an Adult Training Center with the main focus of training new employees and up-skilling current employees for better job opportunities.
