We are aiming for an early 2021 opening, with the possibility of an earlier grand opening if permitted. With the COVID-19 pandemic and other logistical matters, our timeline could extend longer in the future but at the moment, we are confident with an early 2021 grand opening.
We will utilize an emergent curriculum, with a project and play-based Reggio Emelia approach. Additionally, we will utilize leading research-based curricula as resources for provocation and inspiration of our studies. Our curriculum is developmentally-appropriate, and rich in literacy, mathematics, science, social-emotional skills and the creative arts. With our approach, children best develop executive function skills, which best prepare them for kindergarten and life. Learn more about the Reggio Emelia approach here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7n2hCebmT4c
Our tuition and fees are comparable to the costs of other early learning programs in the area. More definitive prices will be released at a later point.
Our teachers will have obtained degrees in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, and engaged in a minimum of 25 hours of individualized professional development annually, in addition to all training that is required by Indiana daycare licensing. Our teachers will also participate in early childhood workshops, professional organizations, and conferences throughout the year.
We plan to offer full and half day options for our families as well as before and after school extended care. Full day hours will be from 8am – 4pm and Half Day hours will from 8am – 1pm. Before School Care will be from 6 – 8 am and After School Care will be from 4 – 6pm.
We will be using high-quality materials that are best suited to stimulate the minds, senses, and creativity of young children to help with their development. This will include a multitude of natural and open-ended materials that research has proven to be best for young children.
All students (Full & Half Day) will receive breakfast, a morning snack, and lunch. All Full Day students will additionally receive an afternoon snack.
Initially, transportation will not be provided by the center. However, we anticipate providing transportation for Phase II of our program, beginning in 2025.
We transcend daycare and move toward developing the whole child, cognitively, physically, socially and emotionally. Where a childcare facility aims to provide basic safety and care for your child, we specialize in child development, offer degreed educators, utilize a research and evidence-based curriculum and assessment, offer abundant opportunities for family engagement, have low teacher to student ratios, and provide the highest quality materials and environment for children in our care.
While we welcome all families that find our program best suited for their family’s needs, our initial vision will be to serve the businesses and workforce of the River Ridge Commerce Center. Please contact us to see if there is availability in our program to serve you.
